First and foremost, I am really honoured and feel very privileged to function as Principal of Acme College of Nursing. Taking this opportunity, I really thank the management of Acme. The ACON, which is located at Hiyang Hiren Leirak, Palace Compound, Imphal East, Manipur is going to start the “B.Sc. Nursing Degree Program” from the academic session 2024 with an intake capacity of 40 seats. It is only ‘0’ (Zero) mile from the heart of Imphal City and can be reached easily. Next to this institute in the northern side is the famous ‘’Govindajee Temple”. Nursing is a unique Profession dedicated to the service of mankind. Education of nurses contributes a lot to the whole nation in preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services. The main focus of the institute is to prepare our nursing students who will work in their clinical area with dedication, devotion, compassion and kindness. The faculty of Nursing will take up the responsibility in providing nursing education based on Scientific Principles relating to theory and Practice in order to enhance their skills and make them highly competent and qualified nurses, to face the challenges. The Acme College of Nursing has its own Parent Hospital of 50 bedded providing service to maternity and Medical surgical and Child health care and many other affiliated Hospitals and community health Centre as per “Indian Nursing Council (INC)” guidelines and students will get rich exposure in various clinical settings. The institute, ACON, has excellent infrastructure, competent teaching faculties and will follow innovative methods of teaching that will make students’ all round development. They will also be provided to learn whole range of skills in laboratories/Simulated laboratories and clinical environment. Students can practice all the procedures on skill lab in a simulated environment before their placement in Clinical Setting. I hope, it will create a safe and conducive atmosphere for learning and good healthy environment. Hostel facilities are there for all students with all basic amenities. Library books are available in adequate numbers which are updated, latest editions. I, as Principal look forward to Acme College of Nursing be recognized as one of the best Nursing Institute in the State.
